Werdum submits Cain in thriller; Full UFC 188 results

UFC 188 Velasquez vs. Werdum pay-per-view fight on June 13th at the Arena Ciudad in Mexico City, Mexico headlines the UFC World Heavyweight championship of current champion Cain Velasquez facing tough former titlist Facricio Werdum in the main event. Co-headlining the event is the long-awaited clash between former mixed martial arts (MMA) champions Gilbert Melendez (Strikeforce) and Eddie Alvarez (Bellator MMA).

UFC 188 preliminary cards begin 7 p.m. online via "Fight Pass" before transitioning to the FX television station at 8 p.m. ET then followed by UFC 188 pay-per-view (PPV) at 10 p.m. ET available on leading cable and/or satellite providers (DirecTV, DISH Network, etc.).

UPDATE: Fabricio Werdum defeated Cain Velasquez via Submission (guillotine choke) in round 3. Werdum is the new UFC heavyweight champion.
